Gene test results are presented as risk scores. Your risk can be very low, low, average, high or very high. Based on risk scores, we can tell you which group you belong to.

For example, the impact of genes on bodyweight is between 40 to 70%, the rest is in our own hands. Our genes lay the base, but we can decide ourselves if we’re going to let them affect us or not.

Our app will help you to take the matters into your own hands. You can set up the app according to your gene test results to help you adjust your diet and to stay on track. Geneto’s genetic tests are based on polygenic risk scores (PRS) technology, developed on the genetic data of 500,000 participants of the UK Biobank and verified on 200,000 participants of the Estonian Biobank. Geneto gene test is a gene test that evaluates one’s personal risk of developing various lifestyle diseases. The gene test is based on a saliva sample. After placing an order, a courier will deliver the gene test to your home. The test kit includes all of the necessary tools for taking a saliva sample. Sampling takes about 10 minutes. Please follow the instructions included in the test kit carefully.

In case you have previously taken 23&me, Ancestry or MyHeritage gene test, you don’t have to provide a new saliva sample and we can use your existing genetic data. In order to do that, you have to ask your existing genetic data to be issued from the provider.

Export your genetic data from the company that carried out your gene test. You’ll find specific instructions on the provider’s website.

1. During the ordering process, you’ll be asked to provide a file of your gene test. Please upload the file you have downloaded in the previous step.
We’ll notify you when the results are ready. This may take up to one week.
